University rector Alfred Vella recently presented certificates of achievement to 176 students who successfully completed one or more units forming part of the University’s Programme in the Liberal Arts and Sciences (Plas) during the last academic year.
The University’s Centre for the Liberal Arts and Science (Clas) is currently accepting applications for Plas units to be held during the first semester of the next academic year from October 2017 to January 2018.
The subjects being offered include Sociology, Psychology of communication, Maltese history, Online teaching and learning, Opera appreciation, the Maltese Constitution and human rights, Modern and contemporary Italian literature, Aesthetics and the Philosophy of literature, Consumer rights, and Communication and learning in museums.
The centre is also offering four Plas Tech units for ICT professionals on Data science, Enterprise architecture, Extreme Java development, and 3D modelling and visualisation using MAYA.
Plas units consist of weekly evening lectures held between 6 and 8pm, normally spread over 14 weeks.
