The Moviment Żwieġ Bla Divorzju has put up its first billboards in the run-up to the May 28 referendum on divorce. One of them shows a child embracing his parents and carries the slogan Flimkien għal Uliedna (Together for our children). Another portrays an alarm clock bearing only the numbers one to four, flanked by the question Żwieġ li jiskadi? (a marriage which expires?) and the reply LE, grazzi (No, thanks) – a reference to the clause in the proposed legislation that would allow a couple to file for divorce after being separated for four years.
