The Malta Cage Birds Association is organising its 17th Annual Bird Show at St Vincent De Paul Residence, Luqa, from Friday to next Sunday. The bird show will consist of approximately 1,500 birds bred by around 100 Maltese breeders.

These include coloured and posture canaries, exotic and European finches, doves, quails and colourful parrots. International judges will be judging these birds on Thursday and Friday.

The official opening will be held on at 5.30pm. Refreshments will follow. The show will be open to the public on Friday from 5.30 to 9pm, Saturday from 8am to 8pm and Sunday from 8am to 6pm.

On Sunday at 10am, there will be a talk by a veterinary about the health of cage birds.

Apart from the birds on show there will also be birds for sale and stands selling food and accessories related to bird keeping.
