CASSAR. On September 6, at Mater Dei Hospital, EMMANUEL aged 81, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Mary, his children Mario and his wife Doris, Joyce and her husband Joe, Sonia and her husband Charlo and Romina and her husband George, his grandchildren Maria Daniela and her husband Francesco and Ylenia and her boyfriend Mark, Valeria, Cristian, Bernard, Krista and Yan, his beloved great-grandchildren Maya and Nick, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Thursday, September 8 at 9.30am for Christ the King parish church, Paola, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 10am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. CHIRCOP. On September 6, at Mater Dei Hospital, VICTOR of Żebbuġ, widower of Conċetta, aged 83, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Joyce and her husband Charles and Lino and his wife Anna, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, his brothers and sisters, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Friday, September 9 at 3pm for St Philip parish church, Żebbuġ, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3.30pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery, Żebbuġ. SCIBERRAS. On September 7, at Mater Dei Hospital, RENO of Mqabba residing at Sliema, passed away peacefully at the age of 76, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his sad loss his loving wife Anne, née Dalli, his sons Neville and his partner Sue, and Keith, his two grandsons Zach and Sam, Martina, his brothers Joe and Charles, his sisters Maria Antonia, Paula, Imelda and Mary, their respective spouses, his in-laws, their spouses and partners, his other dear relatives and friends, especially Carmelo Cassar. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Friday, September 9 at 9am for Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 9.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at Gudja cemetery. SPITERI. On September 6, at Loyola House, Naxxar, Brother PAUL SPITERI, SJ, aged 78, went to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his brethren in the Society of Jesus in Malta and India, Mary, widow of his brother Francis, Joe and his wife Rose, John and his wife Antida, Tessie, widow of Joe Muscat, Emily, wife of Norman Butterby, Margaret, wife of Felix Magro, his nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated today, Wednesday, September 7 at 4pm at Loyola House, 38, Marquis Scicluna Street, Naxxar, followed by interment at Naxxar parish cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Jesuit Province infirmary for the aged and sick Jesuit Fathers and Brothers will be greatly appreciated. May he rest in the peace of the Risen Lord.
