GALEA. On July 7, ANNA, née Salomone, residing in Rabat, aged 80, went to meet the Risen Lord. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved husband Tony, her children Victor and his wife Rita, Arthur and his wife Angela, Marielise and her husband Tancred Buhagiar, Antoine and his wife Johanna, Francis and his wife Christine, her grandchildren Mark, Peter, Emma, Andrew, Maria, Simon, Michael, Francesca, Lisa and Philippa, her in-laws Marielle, widow of Albert Salomone, Christine, widow of Antoine Salomone, Remo and Joan Galea, Myriam, widow of Ivan Pace, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, friends, doctors and nurses who helped care for her so lovingly. The funeral leaves her residence tomorrow at 9.15am for Mdina Cathedral where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9.30am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan, will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

HILI. On July 6, at Mater Dei Hospital, SALVATORE of Santa Luċija, aged 76, passed away peacefully to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Doris, née Camenzuli, his children Marisa and her husband Salvatore, Tania and her husband Joe, Wilfred and his wife Claire, his grand­children Antonio, Abigail, Daniela, Kyle, Cristina, Julia and Malcolm and their fiancés, his brothers and sisters, in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortege leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8am for Santa Luċija parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at Tarxien cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

PIGNATELLI. On July 2, in Rome, ANTONIO, husband of Mila, née Stilon Depiro, passed away peacefully, aged 77. He leaves to mourn his irreparable loss his wife Mila, his children Gianluca and Elena, Gioberto and Francesca and his beloved grandchildren Ludovico and Leonardo, Zeno and Ettore, relatives and friends. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

SANT. On July 8, at Mater Dei Hospital, MONICA, née Zammit, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church, after eight long years of illness borne with strength, courage and dignity. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Michael, her children Michelle and her husband Jeremy de Maria, Mireille and her husband Peter Pace Ross, and Marc and her beloved grandchildren Hannah, Luke, Nick, John, Sam, Christina and Megan. She is also mourned by her brothers and sisters, in-laws, other relatives and friends and the Lija parish community. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Monday, July 11 at 8am for Lija parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment at Lija cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Puttinu Cares Children’s Cancer Support Group, Rainbow Ward, Mater Dei Hospital, and Hospice Malta, Balzan, will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest. The family would like to thank the staff at Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre for their support during all these years and staff at Medical Ward 2 at Mater Dei Hospital for their dedication during her last days.

VELLA. On July 7, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARIA STELLA, aged 95, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Anthony, her children Louis and Joyce, Michael and Joan of Canada, and Claire and Ian Craig of Australia, her grandsons Mark and Leo and their families, Max and Chris, her great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 8.15am tomorrow at the Immaculate Conception parish church, Ħamrun, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request, but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza will be gratefully appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
