GRECH. On June 5, at Mater Dei Hospital, SAVIOUR, widower of Carmen, née Mamo, aged 86, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss his sons Ivan and Walgan, living in England, his beloved grandchildren, Vicki, Ryan, Iola, Luke and Jaeger, his sisters Carmen and her husband Joseph Fenech and Therese and her husband Albert Galea, his brothers, John and his wife Mary, Richard and his wife Nanette, and Oscar and his wife Elizabeth, living in Australia, his in-laws, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow for Tal-Ibraġ parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Ursuline Crèche, Sliema, will be greatly appreciated. May the Good Lord grant him eternal rest.
MICALLEF. On June 3, at Mater Dei Hospital, SHARON née Grech, ex WPC1, of Birguma, Naxxar, aged 49, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Joe Mikallef, their children Nigel and his girlfriend Anna, and Rebekka, her mother Carmen, widow of Salvu Grech, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 1.45pm for the Divine Mercy Sanctuary, Birguma, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 2.30pm, followed by interment at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Qala, where a private function will be held. The family wish to thank the staff at Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre and Mater Dei Hospital for their care and dedication. The family also wish to thank Hospice Malta for their full support and would like that instead of flowers, donations be sent to Hospice Malta, Balzan. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
PANZAVECCHIA. On May 22, at Mater Dei Hospital, ANTOINETTE of Sliema, widow of Joseph, aged 92, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her son Mark, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends, amongst whom her friend Carmen. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Saturday, June 11 at 8.30am for San Ġorġ Preca parish church, Swatar, Birkirkara, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
SOLLARS. On June 4, 2016, at Mater Dei Hospital, ERIC, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss his beloved wife Maria Theresa née Camilleri, his daughters Alexandra and her husband Mark Falzon, Valerie and her husband Mario Camilleri, his grandchildren Nicholas, Emma and Neil, his sisters Eileen, residing in Australia, Dorothy, Vivienne and her husband Charles and Elizabeth and her husband Joseph , his sisters-in-law, Cecilia, widow of his brother Claude, Carmen, Rose and her husband Charles and Agnes, their families, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated today at 8.30am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish Church, Gzira followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.
