ATTARD. On May 18, at Mater Dei Hospital, DORIS née Baldacchino, of Żebbuġ, aged 84, widow of Mro Amante Attard, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her irreparable loss her sons Romuald and his wife Agnes, and Hilary, her adorable grandsons Reinhard and his wife Charlene, and Rambert, her sister Alice and her husband John Cutajar, Joyce widow of her brother Joe Baldacchino, her sister-in-law Mary widow of Spiro Muscat, her brother-in-law Philip and his wife Lourdes, her sisters-in-law Maria and Carmen, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends, especially the president, committee and members of the 12th May Band Club, Żebbuġ. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 7.30am for St Philip parish church, Żebbuġ, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8am followed by interment in the family vault at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

MICALLEF. On May 18, HENRIETTA of Sliema, widow of Henry, aged 81, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Michel and his wife Loranne, Elvira and her husband Simon Petroni and Joanna and her husband Kenneth Azzopardi, her cherished grandchildren, Jean-Michel, Kim and her boyfriend Aedan, Tamara and her boyfriend Benji, Michael and Tara, her sisters-in-law, Rosa Micallef Judge and Mariuccia Micallef, her brothers-in-law, Aldo Micallef, Edwin Micallef, Louis and Gloria Micallef, her nephews and nieces, other relatives and her friends. The funeral leaves St Vincent de Paul Residence today at 1.30pm for St Gregory’s parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cada­vere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery (entrance from back entrance). The family would like to thank all the staff who took care of mummy at John Paul II Ward 4, St Vincent de Paul Residence. Donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan, will be appreciated. MIDOLO. On May 18, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARIE, Principal of St Catherine’s High School, Pembroke, aged 68, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church and surrounded by her family. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved husband Paul, her dear children Sue, Karen and her husband Pierre, Joseph and his wife Juanita, and Denise, her grandchildren Mandy, Jake, Faye, Karl and Lisa, her brothers, sisters and in-laws, her nephews and nieces, other relatives and all the community of St Catherine’s High School. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 1.30pm for Balluta parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 2pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Donations to the Malta Community Chest Fund, Valletta, and Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Special thanks go to the consultant, the doctor and all the staff at Mater Dei Hospital and St James Capua Hospital, Sliema. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

SCALPELLO. On May 18, CARMELA of Valletta, went to meet the Risen Lord, joining her husband Carmelo and her two sons, Alfred and Brother Lino, OC. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughters Maryann and her husband Charles Mejlaq, Tania and her husband Kenneth Walters and MaryRose, widow of her son Alfred, her seven grandchildren and her nine great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be said today at 10am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica, Valletta, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
