DEGIORGIO. On May 14, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARY, née Caruana, of Sliema, married to Saviour, aged 76, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church and surrounded by her beloved family. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Saviour, her children Anna and Josette and their respective husbands, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her brother Alfred and his wife Mary, her sister Josephine, sister-in-law Ophelia, nephews, nieces and in-laws. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8.15am for St Julian’s parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9am followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of Zammit Clapp nursing home, emergency department and MSU2 Mater Dei Hospital for their love, care and dedication in their work. PELLEGRINI PETIT. On May 13, Notary PETER PAUL, aged 100, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his dear wife Lina née Grech Cumbo, his children Myriam and Martin, Cecilia and Tonio, Edward and Rosalie, Lucienne and Robert, Ariane and Paul, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his brother Tonio and Rosemary, his sister Rose Martin, Gabi widow of his brother Joe, Jeanne Grech Cumbo widow of his brother-in-law George, numerous nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral cortege leaves Mater Dei Hospital today for Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm followed by interment at the Naxxar cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Saint Patrick’s Salesian School, Sliema, will be greatly appreciated. Special thanks to the carers of Casa Arkati. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
VASSALLO. On May 15, at Karin Grech Rehabilitation Centre, FRANCIS (of Tivoli Cinema) passed away peacefully, aged 91 comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Maria and Lawrence Mizzi, Tonia and Pippo Giuliano, Teddy and Natalie, Jill, widow of Joe, his grandchildren and their respective spouses, his great-grandchildren, his sister-in-law Melita, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Karin Grech Rehabilitation Centre tomorrow at 7.45am for Christ the King parish church, Paola, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated.
