CARUANA. On March 7, at Mater Dei Hospital, ANTHONY of Mellieħa, aged 82, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss, his beloved wife Paola, his children Vera, Fr. Joe Caruana parish priest of Mellieħa, Carmen and Mario, his sister Rita and her family, his in-laws Marianne and Jean and their families, his sisters-in-law Lucy and Doris and their families, the widows of his wife’s brothers Katie and Vicky and their families, other relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital, tomorrow at 2.30pm for Maria Bambina parish church, Mellieħa where a Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3.30pm followed by interment at Our Lady of Victory cemetery Mellieħa. Donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi will be appreciated.

D’AMATO. On March 7, CONSIGLIO aged 99, of Ta’ Xbiex, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Josephine, his daughter Consuela and her husband Franco, his son Consiglio and his wife Sarabelle, his daughter Sabienne and her boyfriend Christian, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 1.30pm for St George’s parish church, Qormi, where a Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery.

DEBATTISTA. On March 5, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARIA (Miss Maria), aged 85, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her brothers Toninu and Ġużi, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends.The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.45pm for St Publius parish church, Floriana, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2.30pm followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar Ċentrali MUSEUM, Blata l-Bajda, and Dar tal-Kleru, Birkirkara, would be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

DYSON. On March 5, in Melbourne, Australia, MARIKA, née Barbaro Sant, passed away peacefully, a few months short of her 70th birthday. She is deeply mourned by her husband John, her children Andrea and Monique and their families, her brother Tony and his children Fiona and her husband Thomas Lee, and Patrick, her numerous cousins, relatives and friends in Malta, UK and Australia, and her childhood friend Louise and her husband Norman Farrugia.
A Mass for the repose of her soul will be said at Tal-Ibraġ parish church, on Wednesday March 16, at 5pm. The attendance of relatives and friends will be appreciated. Donations in Marika’s memory may be made to the Hospice Malta, Balzan.

GIGLIO. On March 6th His Excellency Mgr. PAUL GIGLIO, Ex-Apostolic Nuncio, passed away peacefully at his home in Valletta, aged 89, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his sisters Josephine and Mary, his brother Albert and his wife Rose, his sister-in-law Antoinette, widow of his brother Dr John Giglio, his nephews and nieces, his pro-nephews and pro-nieces, besides other relatives and friends, especially Rev Fr. Can. John Ciarló. The funeral leaves his residence on Wednesday March 9, at 8.30am for St John’s Co-Cathedral where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9.15am followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery, in the family grave. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Kleru, Birkirkara, will be greatly appreciated.

SCICLUNA. On March 6, MARY of San Ġwann aged 78, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Joseph, her children Ray, Carol, Sue, Mariuccia and her partner Carmel, her grandchildren Dawn, Angie, Gail, Owen, Noah, her in-laws, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Zammit Clapp Hospital, Sliema tomorrow at 1.30pm for Lourdes parish church, San Ġwann where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2pm followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi will be greatly appreciated.
