BUTTIGIEG. On January 29, at Mater Dei Hospital, FIRMINA of Żebbuġ, residing at Blata l-Bajda, widow of Ġużeppi, aged 89, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her children Carmen and her husband Lucio, Katy and her husband Mikele, Joe, Gaetana and her husband Michael, Maryrose and her husband Bruno, Antoinette, widow of Michael, Jennifer and her husband Joe, and Victor and his wife Rita, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her brother and sister, in-laws, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Monday, February 1 at 8.15am for San Ġorġ Preca chapel, Blata l-Bajda, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
GALEA. On January 28, at Gozo General Hospital, MARIA of Xagħra, Gozo, widow of Emanuel (Ta’ l-Imberraq), aged 63, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Georgeann and her husband Mark, Kevin and his wife Lauren, Dr Ruth, Tracey and her husband Jean Paul, and Michael, her brothers and sister, John Baptist, Joe, Gina, Gregory and Lawrence, her grandchildren Ylenia Therese and Keith, in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Gozo General Hospital today at 2.15pm for Xagħra parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 3pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Xagħra cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
VELLA. On January 29, at Mater Dei Hospital, Sister GIOVANNA, aged 93, went to meet her Risen Lord comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss the religious of the Society of the Sacred Heart, her sisters in Australia Emanuela Ellul and her husband Joseph, and Rita Rollings, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortege will leave Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.15pm for the chapel of the Archbishop’s Seminary, Tal-Virtù, Rabat, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

On the trigesima die since the passing away of DOREEN ELLUL, Mass for the repose of her soul will be said tomorrow at 6pm at Our Lady of Divine Mercy Sanctuary, Naxxar. The attendance of relatives and friends will be appreciated.
