GALEA. On September 20, at Mater Dei Hospital, TESSIE, aged 86, of Attard, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Francis Xavier, her son Dr Ray Galea and his wife Nathalie, her granddaughter Maria Roberta and her husband Christopher Mallia, her nephews and nieces, especially Sylvana Barthet, their families, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 2.30pm for Santa Maria parish church, Attard, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3pm, followed by interment in the family grave at San Andrea Cemetery, Żebbuġ. Public lecture
Fr Pierre de Charentenay SJ will deliver a public lecture on ‘Restoration of a Charism – an extraordinary power given a Christian by the Holy Spirit’ on Friday at 7.30pm at Mount St Joseph Retreat House, Tarġa Gap, Mosta. The talk is part of the bicentenary celebrations marking the 1814 restoration of the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits).
