BONELLO DU PUIS. On July 12, at her residence in Sliema, EDITH, aged 79, passed away suddenly. She leaves to mourn her loss her sisters May Jones and Monica and her husband Alfred Busietta, her sisters-in-law Iris and Tessie Bonello du Puis, her nephews and nieces Etienne, Alex, Caroline, Simon, Solange, Emilienne, Cecily, Georges, Veronica, Clarissa and Yvette, their spouses and partners, great-nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. GALEA. On July 13, JOSEPHINE (Peppa) of St Julian’s, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Iris, Michael, Natalie, Josephine, Frida, Charlie, Louisa and their families, her sisters and their families, other relatives and friends. Funeral Mass will be said tomorrow at 9am at St Julian’s parish church, followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan, will be appreciated.

MICALLEF. On July 13, at Mater Dei Hospital, ANNA, née Borg, of Valletta, widow of Thomas, aged 81, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Lydia, Ronald, Noel and Louiselle, her grandchildren Vito, Stefania and Crista, her brothers and sisters Pio, Carmen, Elia, Vincent, and Joe, their spouses, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8.30am for Jesus of Nazareth parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9am, followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to charitable institutions will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

VELLA. On July 14, Capt. AUSTIN of Mosta, aged 56, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Bernardette, née Vella, his children Christina, wife of Matthew, Nicole and her partner Robert, and Sarah, his step-children Nicholas and his wife Staka, Lisa and her partner James, and Jonathan and his partner Stephanie. His irreparable loss is felt also by his mother Emily, widow of Lawrence, his brothers Mario, Joe, Emidio, Edwin and Leonard, his sisters Marlene, Connie, Monica, Lycia and Isabella, as well as his in-laws Frans, Joe, Twanny, Mary, Doris, Helen, Gaetano and Charles, all their spouses and various relatives and friends, especially his extended family for the past 25 years within Transport Malta Pilotage Corps. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 3.30pm for the National Shrine of the Divine Mercy, San Pawl tat-Tarġa, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 4pm, followed by interment at Mosta cemetery. Donations to the Malta Community Chest Fund, Valletta, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
