CAMENZULI. On February 13, at Mater Dei Hospital, EVELYN of Sliema, aged 83, went to meet the Risen Lord. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Mario and his wife Marie-Therese, Annabelle and her husband Charles Bonello, Marthese and her husband Patrick Galea, and James and his wife Denise, her grandchildren Andre, Chiara, Bernard, Gabriel, Luke, Julian, Sara, Simon, Kristina and Matthew, her brothers, in-laws, other relatives and friends, especially the group led by Mrs Bianca Camilleri Vassallo who, with Evelyn, daily said the Way of the Cross at St Gregory’s parish church. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Wednesday at 1.30pm for St Gregory’s parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
CARUANA. On February 14, at St Vincent de Paul residence, PHYLLIS, aged 81, of Żebbuġ, residing in St Paul’s Bay, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her brother Saviour and his wife Tessie, her brother’s widow Jane, her nephew Richard and his wife Daphne, Tony and his wife Sharon, her niece Cynthia and her husband Hasan, her great-nephews and great-nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St Vincent de Paul residence on Tuesday at 2pm for St Philip’s parish church, Żebbuġ, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30pm followed by interment at the Sacred Heart cemetery, Żebbuġ.
GALEA. On February 12, at Dorset County Hospital, UK, Dr JOSEPH MARIO PHILIP GALEA, passed peacefully away in his 91st year and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his devoted wife Maggie, née Bruce-Payne, his children Nina, Peter, Lynne, Anne and David, as well as his precious grandchildren Sasha, Sarah, Philip, Catherine, Alex and Samantha. He also leaves to mourn his loss his brothers and sisters, Mary, widow of Dr Joseph Darmanin Demajo, Dr Edwin Galea and his wife Mary, Dr Charles Galea and his wife Delma and Iris Zammit and her partner Jimmy Borg Cardona, his sister-in-law Gillian, widow of Rev. Anthony King, his brother-in-law David and his wife Sue, as well as numerous relatives and friends. The funeral will be held in Malta at a later date still to be announced.
HAMPTON. On February 14, PETER, aged 64, of Ħamrun, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved partner Maria Grech, his sister Victoria and her husband Victor Sciberras, his brother Godwin and his wife Margaret, and his brother Martin and his wife Vicky, his nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8.30am for St Francis of Assisi church, Villambrosa, Ħamrun, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9.15am followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. He leaves to mourn his great loss his wife Maria, his children Jesmond, Sylvana, Isabelle, Angela and Jean Paul, his grandchildren Manuel, Clyde, Alicia, Nyah and Myah, his sisters-in-law and their families, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 1.30pm for the Holy Family parish church, Iklin, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2pm followed by interment at Għargħur cemetery.
