FENECH. On January 28, at Mater Dei Hospital, HELEN, née Sargent, of Paola, residing at Mellieħa, passed away peacefully, aged 81. She leaves to mourn her great loss her husband Constantine, her daughter Dr Salvina Borg and her husband Dr Saviour Borg, her granddaughter Christine and her grandson Stephen, her sisters Gertrude, Agnes, Sr M’Georgina, her brother Albert, Elisabeth Sargent, widow of her brother Louis, Hilda, daughter of her deceased brother William, nephews and nieces, other relatives and numerous friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2.30pm for Maria Bambina parish church, Mellieħa, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3.30pm, followed by interment at the Sultana tal-Vittorji Cemetery, Mellieħa. Donations to the Ursuline Sisters and Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
MIZZI. On January 28, at Mater Dei Hospital, ALFRED of Balzan, aged 81, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Gemma, his children Therese and her husband Charles and James and his wife Ismay, his grandson Philip and his fiancée Kim, his sisters Ċettina, widow of Joseph, and Rita, widow of Dominic, in-laws, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2.30pm for the Annunciation parish church, Balzan, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3pm, followed by interment at Balzan cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Ursuline Crèche Sisters will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
XUEREB. On January 26, at Mater Dei Hospital, two days after her 79th birthday and following four years of an illness borne with good Catholic fortitude, ANNA, née Bonello. She leaves to mourn her very sorrowful loss her devoted husband Dr Joseph Xuereb of Mosta, her children, Stefan and his partner Althea, Daniela and her husband Christopher Falzon, her brother Judge Giovanni Bonello, her brother-in-law Antoine Xuereb, all nephews and nieces, cousins and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be said today at 2pm at Mosta parish church. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors.
