BONELLO. On November 5, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOSEPH GP of Ibraġ, managing director at Financial Planning Services Ltd, aged 69, went to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church and surrounded by his family. Greatly missed by his most beloved wife Antoinette, née Buttigieg, his much-loved and cherished children – his son Matthew, his daughter Elaine and her very special husband Jonathan Chetcuti, and his very precious grandchild Gigi, his sisters, Sr Inez of the Salesians of Don Bosco and Jacqueline and her husband Paul England, his in-laws and their spouses, Hector and Monica Chetcuti, nephews and nieces, other relatives, clients, friends and colleagues of the financial ser-vices community. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 2pm for Tal-Ibraġ parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2.30pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Naxxar cemetery. Donations to the Poor Clares Sisters, St Julian’s, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

CHETCUTI. On November 4, VINCENT of Sliema, aged 78, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss his wife Carmen, née Tortell, his children Michael and his wife Marianne, Sandra and her husband Richard, and Stephen and his wife Desiree, his grandchildren Christina, Francesca, Martina, Marc, Kim, Michelle, Mia and Lea, his adopted daughter Nicky, in-laws, relatives, friends and numerous ex-students. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2pm for Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 2.30pm, followed by interment at Gudja cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Ursuline Crèche, Sliema, and Salesian vocations will be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

ZERAFA. On November 6, PAUL, from Attard, aged 83, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss, his son Raymond, his grandchildren Sam, Leah and her husband Brandon, his brother Max, his brother in-law Max and his sister in-law Doris, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei hospital tomorrow at 8.30am for Attard parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9am followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

Bazaar

Bazaar in aid of St Gregory’s parish church, Sliema, at the parish centre, Blanche Street, Sliema, from next Monday to Wednesday, November 11 to 13, from 8.30am to 2.30pm and from 4.30 to 7pm. The bazaar will also include the sale of new clothes.

DLĦ lecture

The monthly lecture by Din l-Art Ħelwa will be by Therese Vella about The Magistral Art Collection on November 14 at 6.30pm at Din l-Art Helwa, Melita Street, Valletta. Dr Vella will show how the Grand Masters of Malta led the way in collecting paintings and sculptures as well as in displaying them in a manner that later led to the growth of art collecting among knights and among the Maltese.
