GALEA. On September 25, at his residence in Attard, JOHN passed away peacefully, aged 92. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Ġulina, his children Vivien and her husband Alfred Cassar, Tony of Australia and Elizabeth and her husband Paul Camilleri Fava, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today for St Paul’s parish church, Rabat, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3pm, followed by interment at Santa Margherita Cemetery, Rabat. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

GALEA. On September 26, at her residence, SALVINA of Żejtun, aged 91, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Charles and his wife Antoinette, Paulette, Joseph and his wife Miriam, and Anne-Marie, her grandchildren Karelle, Charles, Fleur Marie and Delicia Anne, her great-grandchildren Dean, Kyle and Valentina, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 9am for St Gregory’s church, Żejtun, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at St Gregory’s Cemetery, Żejtun. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

POWELL. On September 26, at Karin Grech Rehabilitation Centre, JOHN CHARLES, aged 82, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his sad loss his dearly beloved children Rose, Lawrence, and his widowed daughter Carmen, their respective spouses Victor and Mary, his grandchildren Ruth, Lauren, Maria, Gemma and their respective spouses, Romina, Tyrone and Rhys, his great-grandchildren, his sister Ivy and all his brothers and sisters, nephews and nieces in Malta and Australia. Funeral Mass will be said today at 3.30pm at St Lawrence Collegiate parish church, Vittoriosa, followed by interment at St Lawrence Cemetery, Vittoriosa.

RIZZO. On September 25, at St James Capua Hospital, Slie­ma, MARION, née Rizzo, of Paceville, aged 78, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church and surrounded by her family. She leaves to mourn her great loss her devoted husband Tony, her sons Adrian and David and his wife Geraldine, her daughter Claire, her grandchildren Gabriel, Robert, Joseph, Martina and Isabelle, her sister Liliana and her husband Patrick Staines, nephews and nieces, in-laws, cousins, other relatives and friends, as well as her devoted carer Andreana. The funeral cortège leaves St James Capua Hospital, Sliema, tomorrow and Mass in celebration of her life will be said at 9am at Our Lady of Good Counsel church, Paceville, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. May she enjoy eternal peace in the arms of the Risen Lord and the Blessed Virgin Mary. No flowers by request but donations to the Millennium Chapel, Paceville, or Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated.

TAYLOR-EAST. On September 26, JOSEPH, widower of Lea née Vassallo, aged 88, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Hu and his wife Claudia, Phillip and his wife Rita, Miriam, Yasmin and her husband Adrian Borg, his grandchildren Nicola and David Montanaro Gauci, Alexia and James Bannister, Robert and Sasha, Philippa, Maria-Christina, Jonathan and Erika, Joseph, Andrea and Francesca and his great-grandchildren Harry, George, Michael and Emilia. He will also be sadly missed by his in-laws, nephews and nieces and other relatives and friends. The funeral will be held tomorrow at 8.30 am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish church, Balluta, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

VASSALLO CESAREO. On September 26, at St James Capua Hospital, Sliema, ATTILIO, aged 75, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church, surrounded by his family. He leaves to mourn his great loss his beloved wife Monica, née Micovic, his children Roberta and her husband Kerstien Gabarretta, Andrea and his wife Jenny, Mark Anthony, his beloved grandchildren Luca, Mattea, Carla and Beppe. He also leaves to mourn his great loss his brother Leo, and his brothers-in-law Marcel Loporto and Michael Micovic and sister-in-law Milica Micovic, his nephews and nieces, relatives and friends, amongst whom Vanni and Diana Ganado. The funeral leaves St James Capua Hospital tomorrow at 8.30am for St Julian’s parish church, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan, will be appreciated. The family would like to thank the staff on Ward 4, St James Hospital, for their great care and attention. May Christ grant rest to you in the city of the living; may He open to you the gates of paradise and make you a citizen of His Kingdom.
