ABELA – DOROTHY JEANNE. Passed away with the family at her side, on September 15, aged 76. Her funeral on September 17 at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery was officiated by Fr Simon, Chancellor of St Paul’s Anglican Cathedral. The family would like to express sincere thanks to all the staff at Mater Dei and Boffa Hospitals, and Hospice Malta, Balzan, who provided unwavering care. Grateful thanks to friends for their support and attendance. May she rest in peace.
CHIRCOP. On September 19, at Mater Dei Hospital, WALTER of St Venera (Director of Atlas Travel), aged 77, went to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by rites of Holy Church. Greatly missed by his wife Deirdre, his son Alex and his wife Michelle, and his beloved grandchildren Emily, Bethany and Sarah. He will be missed by his sisters and brother, Hilda, Evelyn, Mary, Marlene and her husband Rene, Doris and her husband John, Philip and his wife Carmen, and his many nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital on September 23 at 9.30am for St Venera new parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 10am, followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Donations to the Ursuline Sisters, Guardamangia, would be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
