ANASTASI. On September 16, at Mater Dei Hospital, ANTONIA, née Ciantar of Żebbuġ, residing in Sliema, aged 83, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her only daughter Cecilia and her husband Philip, her grandson Adrian and his wife MaryGrace, her granddaughter Claudia and her husband Gordon, her great-grandchildren Luke, Jake and Simon, her sisters Bernardette, MaryLourdes, Agnes and her brother Colin and their respective spouses, her sister-in-law Vincenza Briffa, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.30pm for Jesus of Nazareth parish church, Sliema, where a Mass celebrating her life will be said at 2pm, followed by burial at Żebbuġ cemetery. May she enjoy eternal peace in the arms of the Lord and the Blessed Virgin.
CASABENE. On September 17, at Mater Dei Hospital, VIOLET (née Dalmas) aged 81, passed away peacefully. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughters Josephine and her partner Marzio, Johane and her husband Brian Abela, her much loved grandchildren Julia, Jan, Jack, Jerome and Adam, her brothers and sisters, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortége leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8.15am for St Mary’s parish church, Attard, where Mass will be said in celebration of her life at 9am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. May she continue to be an inspiration to her daughters as a shining example of motherhood. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
PANTON. On September 16, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOHN ROBERT (Bob), aged 89, passed away peacefully after a short illness. Very much loved husband of Juliet and his children Roger, Kay, Diana. The funeral Mass will take place on September 24 at 10am at St Lawrence Cemetery chapel, Vittoriosa. Interment will follow. Family flowers only. Donations to the Jesuit Refugee Services, Birkirkara, will be appreciated. He was a lovely man.
