CALLEJA. On September 4 at Mater Dei Hospital, Can. Fr CARMELO CALLEJA, aged 86, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his fellow collegiates of St Helen Collegiate Basilica, Birkirkara, and parishioners, St Julian’s Parish Presbytery and parishioners, his nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Can. Fr Carmelo will lie in state at St Paul’s Church, Valley Road, Birkirkara tomorrow at 10.30am. The funeral leaves St Paul’s Church at 1.30pm for St Helen’s Collegiate Basilica, Birkirkara, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30pm, followed by interment in the family grave at the Santa Marija Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to id-Dar tal-Kleru, Birkirkara, will be greatly appreciated.
Memorial Service
A memorial service for IRENE JOFEH will be held on October 3 at 6pm at St Paul’s Pro-Cathedral, Valletta. No flowers please, but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be most welcome.
Requiem Mass
Today being the fourth anniversary of the demise of our dear YVETTE ZAMMIT HABER, the 6.30pm Mass at Santa Luċija parish church will be said for the repose of her soul. May she rest in peace.
