GATT. On August 6, at Mater Dei Hospital, Br JOSEPH GATT, OFM Cap., passed away peacefully, aged 70, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss the Franciscan Capuchin Friars and his brothers and sister, Toni and his wife Marinton, Karmnu, Salvina, Ġużeppi and his wife Marija and George and his wife Giovanna, nieces and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be said today at 9am at Għajn Dwieli Capuchin church, followed by interment at St Mary’s Ceme-tery, Gozo.
VELLA. On August 4, at Karin Grech Rehabilitation Centre, JOSEPH, widower of Mary, née Borg, aged 90, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss his children Paul and his wife Adrienne, Tony, Josephine, widow of Alfred Aquilina, Mary Rose, wife of Michael Pike, Lino and his wife Marthese, Doreen, Rita, wife of Joe Hili, Mario and his wife Anna, and Christopher and his wife Rose, his grandchildren Matthew, Danielle, Andrew, Susan, Sandra, David, Anthony, Maria, Claudia, Karl, Mark, Zoe, Greg, Nicole, Clara, Peter, John, Sharon, Stephen and Lorraine, their spouses and partners, his great-grandchildren, Simon, Thomas, Matthew, Rebecca, Thomas, Elena, Audrey, Ella, Sophie, Jake and Julia, his sister Doris Zammit, his sisters-in-law Frances, widow of his brother Lino, and Gina Portelli, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral Mass will be celebrated tomorrow, Friday, at 8.30am at Gżira parish church, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolo-rata Cemetery. Donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, or Caritas, Floriana, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
