PASSMORE. Born at St James Hospital, Żabbar, on July 5, to Eve née Swartzen and Ben, God’s precious gift of a daughter – LILIANA JOY. She was welcomed home by her siblings Victoria, Elijah and Annabelle. The family would like to thank the staff at St James Hospital, Żabbar, including the obstetrician and Anna Calleja. Grateful thanks to Almighty God who united us in the sacrament of marriage on July 28, 1963, at Gżira parish church. Lovingly blessed with five children, Paul, John, Peter, James and Maria, their respective wives and husband, Liliana, Denise, Louise, Rituccia and Philip and nine grandchildren. Thanksgiving Mass at St John of the Cross parish church, Ta’ Xbiex, on Wednesday at 6.45pm. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.

CALAFATO. On July 26, at Mater Dei Hospital, CARMEL LINO, aged 73, passed peacefully away, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Vivian née Degiorgio, his only daughter Simone, relatives and friends. Mass praesente cadavere will be said tomorrow at 8.30am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish church, Fgura, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Hospice Movement will be greatly appreciated. Lord grant him eternal rest.
MUSCAT. On July 27, at Mater Dei Hospital, SALVINA, aged 90, widow of Abraham, of Valletta, residing in Balzan, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Marlene, widow of Charlie Cipriott, Dominic and his wife Tessie, Victor, Nancy and her husband Joe Camilleri, Tony and his wife Mary, Grace and her husband Anton Aloisio, her sister Iris, widow of Alfred Bonnici, her grandchildren and their husbands and wives, great-grandchildren, cousins, many relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8am for Annunciation parish church, Balzan, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment at Balzan cemetery. Donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
SCHEMBRI WISMAYER – DR JOSEPH, aged 82, passed peacefully to meet the Risen Lord, on July 22 in the UK, after a short illness borne with Christian fortitude. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Anne, his children Antoine and his wife Carmen, Franz, Natalie and her husband Justin, his adored grandsons Jack, Adrian, Joey and Oliver, his sister MaryRose, his brothers, Salvino and his wife Barbara, Albert and his wife Joan, Roy and his wife Mercedes, Reno and his wife Emily, Celine widow of Lino, Marcelle widow of Walter, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. In conjunction with the funeral Mass at Somerset parish church, a Mass will be celebrated on August 6 at 1pm at St Aloysius’ College chapel, Birkirkara. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and priests to concelebrate. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord.
