FSADNI . On July 10, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOSEPH of Rabat, (ex-candidate Malta Labour Party and ex-Shop Steward, General Workers Union), aged 71, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Margaret, his children Marcelle and her husband Allan Callus and their daughter Tammy-Lee Callus Fsadni, Noel and his wife Roslyn, his sisters Frances, widow of Alex Herrera, and Carmen, widow of Jim Dunbar, his aunt Eusebia Azzopardi, in-laws, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends, amongst whom Charlie Agius. PARLATO TRIGONA. On July 11, at Mater Dei Hospital, CRISTINA of Sliema, wife of Jean Pierre Aquilina, aged 43, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughters Michela and Lisa, her parents Joe and Anna Parlato Trigona, her parents-in-law Richard and Emily Aquilina, her sister Greta and her husband Peter Ripard, her sister-in-law Veronica and her husband Harold Mallia, her nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8am for Our Lady of Good Counsel parish church, Paceville, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addo-lorata Cemetery. Art lecture

Charles Saumerez Smith, president of the Royal Academy and former director of the National Gallery in London, will give a lecture on The Modernist Divide: The Transformation Of Narrative Contents In Art Today, today at noon. The lecturewill be held in the Council Room of the University of Malta.
