GRECH. On July 3, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARIA, nèe Mifsud, from San Ġwann, widow of Joseph, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church, aged 92. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Rosemary, Ferdinand, Joseph, Winnie and their respective spouses, Costantino widower of her daughter Connie, Rita, widow of her son Charles, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her sister Carrie, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 1.30pm for Lourdes parish church, San Ġwann, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siggiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
SCHEMBRI. On July 1, at Mater Dei Hospital, GEORGE of Qormi, (ex-founder of Snowhite Laundry), aged 85, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Ursola, his child-ren Charles and his wife Marthese Galea, Mary Ann and her husband Alex Aloisio, his grandchildren Gabriel and his wife Lisa, Pharrah and her husband Wesley Debono, Rudi and his wife Christine, Johan and his wife Olivia-Ann, Christian and his wife Mariella, great-grandchildren, his in-laws and their families, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 4pm for St George’s parish church, Qormi, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 4.30pm, followed by interment in the family grave at St George’s Cemetery, Qormi. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
