HUTTON – PATRICIA ANN GEORGINA, née Cotterill, of Sheffield, formerly of Malta, died peacefully on June 1, aged 87. Beloved wife of the late Col. W.A.R. (Tony) Hutton, loving mother of Nicholas and Stephen, mother-in-law of Anne and Shirley, grandmother of Ben, Amy, Zoë, and Tom, and great-grandmother of Seth and Alfie. SALIBA. On June 3, at Mater Dei Hospital, MICHAEL of Marsa, aged 91, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his sister Mary, his niece Rita Said, other relatives and friends, especially members of the Għaqda Storika Kulturali Marsa, of which he was a former president. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8am for the Holy Trinity parish church, Marsa, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Special thanks to all doctors and staff at Orthopaedics Ward 1, Mater Dei Hospital. Lord, grant him eternal peace.

The origins of Bud­­­­­dhism

Michael Zammit, a senior lecturer of philosophy at the University of Malta, will speak on the origins of Buddhism on Thursday at 6pm at the Chinese Cultural Centre, Valletta.

The talk will be given during the general conference of the Malta-China Friendship Society, when a new committee for the coming two years will be elected.
