He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Anne, née Darmanin, his children Keith and his wife Fiona, James and his wife Josette, his grandchildren Adrian and Jonathan, his brother Vincent and his wife Marigold, his sisters Vera, widow of Dr George Hyzler, Annette and her husband John Borg, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. A funeral mass will be held tomorrow at 2.30pm at Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, followed by interment at Tarxien cemetery. The family regret that they are unable to receive visitors at home. On May 28, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOSEPH F.X. of Gudja, residing at Mqabba, formerly Senior Inspector at Customs Department, aged 67, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Josephine, his beloved children Rosienne, Frances-Catherine and her fiancé Louis, and Fr Jonathan, his sister Doris, his brothers Fr Carmelo, Paul and his wife Marilyn and their son Hubert Paul, other relatives and friends. Mass will be said today at 3pm at the Assumption parish church, Mqabba. No flowers by request but donations to the Arch-bishop’s Seminary, Rabat, will be greatly appreciated. GAFFIKIN. On April 9, LENA, née Azzopardi, aged 79, passed away peacefully. She leaves to mourn her loss her brother Joe, her sisters Mary and Joe Saliba, Gemma and Edwin Abela, Vivien and Patrick Gouder, Carmen, widow of her brother George, nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends in Malta and the UK. Cremation took place in the UK. A memorial Mass will be said tomorrow at 9am at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery chapel, followed by interment in the family grave (back entrance). A prayer is solicited.

MERCIECA. On May 27, at Mater Dei Hospital, ALFRED of Żejtun, aged 74, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Ġemma and his daughters Marianne and Graziella, wife of Dr Mark Grima, his grandchildren Kevin, Kurt, David and Samuel, his brother and sisters, in-laws and their respective families, nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2.45pm for St Gregory’s church, Żejtun, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3.30pm, followed by interment in the family grave at St Gregory’s Cemetery, Żejtun. She leaves to mourn her loss her brother Volto Santo and his wife Josephine, nephews and nieces of whom Fr Frans Micallef OP, other relatives and friends.
