Obituary
AQUILINA. On April 24, at Boffa Hospital, CARMELO, affectionately known as Nenu, of Siġġiewi, former Mayor of Siġġiewi and Honorary President of St Nicholas Band Club, aged 68, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church and surrounded by his loved ones. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Carmen, née Grech, his beloved children Colin and his partner Rachel, Robert and his wife Jeanette, Karol and his wife Rosette, his grandchildren Marilena, Niki, Benjamin, Letizia and Paul, his brother and sisters, in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and numerous friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8.30am for St Nicholas parish church, Siġġiewi, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9am, followed by interment in the family vault at Siġġiewi cemetery. Donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, would be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
FARRUGIA. On April 25, LINA of Tarxien, aged 72, passed away peacefully at Mater Dei Hospital comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Paul, her children Godfrey and his wife Stephania, Jeffrey and his wife Astrid and her grandchildren Elaine, Mireille, Alison and Amy, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow Saturday at 8am for the Annunciation parish church, Tarxien, where Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 8:30am, followed by interment at the All Souls Cemetery, Tarxien. No flowers by request, but donations to the Malta Hospice Movement will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
ZAMMIT. On April 24, at Mater Dei Hospital, POLLY, aged 82, widow of Pawlu from St Julian’s, passed away peacefully comforted by the grace of the sacraments of the Holy Church. She left to mourn her loss her children Charlie and wife Mariella, Maria, Emanuel and wife Lucia, Paul, Joey and wife Sylvia, Stephen and wife Denise, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her brother Neriku and his wife Doreen, her in-laws Nena, Johnny, Emma and Rosey, their families, relatives and friends, including Femia. The funeral cortege leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.30pm for St Julian’s parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. Donations to Puttinu Cares will be greatly appreciated. The family would like to thank all the staff at Casa Arkati. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
