DALLI – THERESA (Tessie), née Savona, widow of Edgar, passed away peacefully at the age of 90, surrounded by her family and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Yvonne, wife of John Pirotta, Rosemarie, widow of Alfred Stagno Navarra, Reno and his wife Maria, Mariella and her husband Robert Gatt and Joseph Grogan, widower of her daughter Martina, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her brother Emanuel and his wife Antoinette of Melbourne Australia, her in-laws Esther Dalli and Erminia Savona, nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. Mass will be said tomorrow at 3pm at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery chapel (back entrance), followed by interment in the family grave. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

GAFFIKIN. On April 9, at St Vincent de Paul Residence, LENA, née Azzopardi, aged 79, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her brother Joe and her sisters Mary and Joe Saliba, Gemma and Edwin Abela, Vivien and Patrick Gouder, and Carmen, widow of her brother George, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends in Malta and England. Cremation will take place in the UK. A memorial Mass will be held at a later date. The family wish to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at St Vincent de Paul Residence who attended her throughout her long illness with loving care. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

JOFEH. On April 7, in Attard, CONSTANCE IRENE, widow of Lionel, died peacefully. Much loved sister of Joyce and Roger, mother of Christopher and grandmother of Leo and Zoe. A memorial service will be arranged in the autumn.

TONNA. On April 11, at Mater Dei Hospital, EMANUEL, of Birkirkara, aged 89, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8am for St Francis church, Birkirkara, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30am followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

In Memoriam

BONELLO – SAVIOUR. Loving memories of our dear father, especially today being the 26th anniversary or his passing away. Fondly remembered by his son Francis, his daughter Doris and their families.

CARUANA – MURIEL. Unfading and treasured memories of a dearly beloved mother and grandmother who went to meet the Risen Lord five years ago today. So loved and so sadly missed by her daughter Carol, son-in-law David and grandchildren Rachel, Zach and Anthea. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

CARUANA MONTALDO. In loving memory of JOSEPH, today the third anniversary of his death. Fondly remembered by his brother, sisters, sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces. A Mass for the repose of his soul will be said today at 6.30pm at Tal-Ibraġ parish church. May the Lord grant him eternal rest.

MALLIA – Zia ANTONIETTA. In loving memory of a dear aunt. Forever in our thoughts and prayers. Marlene, Maryrose and Frederick.

MILLER. Fond memories of LILIAN who passed away two years ago. A dearly loved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she lives forever in the hearts of her children Madeleine, Joan, Malcolm and Caroline and their families.

TABONE – LAWRENCE. In loving memory of a dear father, grand­father and great-grandfather on the 37th anniversary of his demise. WARRINGTON – IVY. A dear aunt, fondly remembered by her family, on the fifth anniversary of her death.

Lunchtime concert

The next Din l-Art Ħelwa lunchtime concert by the Kalypso Ensemble at Our Lady of Victory, Valletta will be held on Sunday at 12.15pm.

It will feature Giulia Tavano and Klara Nazaj on violin, performing works by Georg Philipp Telemann, Johann Sebastian Bach, Luigi Boccherini, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Franz Joseph Haydn and Niccolò Paganini.
