GALEA. On March 6, at Mater Dei Hospital, MIRIAM, née Micallef, of Attard, aged 60, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her loving husband Mario, her daughters Daniela, Nadya, wife of Gordon Micallef, her grandchildren Brandon and Lindsey, her parents Joseph and Yvonne Micallef, her brothers and sisters and their families, her in-laws and their families, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8.30am for St Mary parish church, Attard, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9am followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan, will be appreciated. Lord Jesus, grant her eternal rest.

Women’s Day Mass

Fr Joe Cini will say Mass at St Patrick’s church, St John Bosco Street, Sliema, tonight at 6.30pm on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

The event is organised by the National Council of Women in conjunction with its affiliated organisations.

Lenten talks

Lenten talks for separated people will be held daily between 7 and 8pm at Sarria church, Floriana, starting on Monday until Friday.

The talks will be conducted by Fr Anton Teuma, the Bishop of Gozo’s delegate for the family.
