CAMILLERI. On March 3, at Mater Dei Hospital, PAUL of Valletta, (ex-Malta Police Force PS65, ex-Chief Security, Malta Drydocks), aged 95, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church and surrounded by his family. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved children Carmen, widow of John Piccinino, Lillian and her husband Anthony Spiteri and Michael and his wife Carmen, both residing in Australia, Marthese, and Vincent and his wife Josephine, his grandchildren Josanne, Marusca, Fiona, Heinrich, Nigel and Holger, and their respective spouses, his great-grandchildren Justin, Bethany, Ylenia, Terence, Chloe and Charly, in-laws, nephews and nieces in Gozo, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2pm for Santa Marija ta’ Ġesù church (Ta’ Ġieżu), Valletta, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2.30pm, followed by interment in the family vault at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. We thank God for his life and love. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

CHETCUTI. On March 2, at Mater Dei Hospital, PAULINE née Galea (Nanna Polly), widow of Francis, of Ħamrun and residing in Swieqi, at the age of 88, passed away comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her daughters Mary wife of George Camilleri, Yvonne wife of Joseph Bugeja, Carmen wife of George Vassallo, her sons Lawrence and his partner Barbara, Frankie and his wife June, and her daughter-in-law Tessie widow of her son Joe, her 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 1.15pm for Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception parish church in Tal-Ibraġ, Swieqi, where a mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 2pm followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi will be appreciated. The family would like to thank the staff at Mater Dei Hospital and carers at Casa Antonia for their care and commitment.

ELLUL – RICHARD, aged 78, passed away at 10am on March 3, at St Vincent de Paule Hospital. Richard’s generosity and kind heart were an inspiration to his family and friends alike. He lived his life with integrity and bravery. He is survived by his devoted wife Josephine, his children Mark, Alex and his wife Gabriella, Michael and his wife Rita and Karen and her husband Gordon, grandchildren Krista, Sara, Jean Marc, Zack, Martino, Luigi and Michaela, his sisters Pauline and Josephine. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects tomorrow at the Sacro Cuor parish church, Sliema, at 9.30am.

GARDINER. On March 3, at Mater Dei Hospital, DORA, née Doppel, aged 87, passed away peacefully. She leaves to mourn her great loss Charles, her sons Steven and Victor, her daughter Susan and her beloved grandsons Danny and Sammy and his wife Petra and her precious great-grandson Christopher, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortege will leave Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.30pm for Santa Maria Addolorata Chapel where mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 2.00pm followed by interment.

GERADA – Dr ANTHONY (Tony) PAUL JOSEPH, originally from Żejtun, born January 10, 1924, died peacefully on March 1, 2013 in Sheringham, Norfolk, England. Tony was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, doctor and friend to many who all feel the loss of his life tremendously. May he rest in peace now that he is reunited with God and his already deceased parents, brothers and sisters. The family wish to advise that funeral arrangements for Malta shall be announced separately at a later stage.

SCHRANZ. On March 4, VICTOR, passed peacefully away at his residence at the age of 66, comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Anne, his children Liz and Alex Meilak, Sue and Peter Mercieca, Karl and Lara Schranz, his beloved grandchildren Robert, Michaela, Michael and Pippa, his brothers and sisters, John and Mabel Schranz, Tony and Wendy Schranz, Herbert and Gerda Schranz, Josanne and Denys Cirigottis, Elizabeth and Tony Muscat, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral service will be held tomorrow at St Julian’s parish church at 9.15am followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

Requiem Mass

A mass for the repose of the soul of JOSEPH AZZOPARDI, will be celebrated today at 6.00pm at the Ursuline Sisters chapel, Sliema. Today being the trigesima die of the passing away of SALVATORE GAUCI, the 6.15pm Mass celebrated at Burmarrad parish church will be offered for the repose of his soul.
