CACHIA FEARNE. On February 26, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOSEPH, aged 87, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss his wife Ann, née Sant Portanier, his sons Joseph and John and his wife Rebecca, his beloved grandson Matthew, his sister-in-law Mary Cachia Fearne, widow of his brother Emanuel, his nieces Doris and Irene and their respective families, his in-laws and their respective spouses, numerous nieces and nephews, their families, and other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 8.30am for Tal-Ibraġ parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. On February 26, JOYCE, née Consiglio, widow of Notary Dr Alexander Grech, comforted through the ministry of the Church by the Eucharist and the Sacrament of the Sick, passed away peacefully to the Father’s House to meet the Risen Jesus and enjoy the fullness of eternal life in the Spirit. Her loss is deeply mourned by her son Fr Konrad SJ, her daughters Hilary and Sr Benedict MC, (Noella), her brothers Ramon and his wife Anne, Francis and his wife Joan, Rosa, widow of her brother Joe and Mary, widow of her brother-in-law Victor, her nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. HARMON. On February 27, AGNES, aged 91, from Luqa, widow of William, passed away peacefully at her residence, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Albert and his wife Margareth, Walter and his wife Nina, William and his wife Carol, and Esther and her husband Joseph Brincat, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her brothers and sisters, their respective spouses, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves her residence today at 3.15pm for St Andrew’s parish church, Luqa, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3.30pm followed by interment in the family grave in the parish cemetery. On February 27, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARY, née Paris, widow of Vincent, of Cospicua and residing in Marsascala, at the venerable age of 98, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Mary and her husband Edric Williams, Phyllis and her husband Caesar Vella, Joe and his wife Pauline, Raymond and his wife Christine, Monica, Carmen Rossiter, Josephine, widow of her son Thomas, her only remaining sister Jessie Camilleri, her 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on March 2 at 7.45am for Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception collegiate church, Cospicua, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. POLLITT. On February 24, Col. DAVID URQUHART POLLITT, DL, residing in Bedford, UK, went to meet the Risen Lord. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Edwina, née Barbaro of St. George, her sisters Jill and her husband Alvin Barnett and Faith and her husband Michael Harper, his sisters-in-law, Mary and her husband James Gollcher, Cecilia and her husband Pierre Bellier, Gladys and her husband Anthony Zammit Tabona, Chief Justice Emeritus Prof. J.J.
