OBITUARY
CARUANA. On February 8, at Mater Dei Hospital, THERESA (Tessie) of Santa Venera, aged 87, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Alfonso (Effie), her children Marie and her husband Silvio Sella and Anna and her husband Franco Moglia, her beloved grandson Christopher, her sister-in-law Theresa and her husband Karmenu Gauci, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 2.15pm for Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish church, Fgura, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2.45pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
CARUANA GALIZIA. On February 6, at Karin Grech Rehabilitation Centre, MARCELLE, née Mamo, widow of John, aged 85, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church and surrounded by her family. She leaves to mourn her great loss her beloved children Peter and his wife Daphne and Antonia and her husband Matthew, her grandchildren Matthew, Andrew, Paul, Nicholas and Michela, her sisters Elsa and Sheila, her sisters-in-law Rosa, Edith, Bernadette and Ruth, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Karin Grech Rehabilitation Centre today at 8.15am for St Gregory’s parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.45am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. The family wish to thank the staff at RW4, Karin Grech Rehabilitation Centre, for their dedicated care and attention. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
TORTELL. On February 6, at Mater Dei Hospital, HENRY, aged 78, passed away peacefully after a long illness borne with Christian fortitude, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved Valerie, née Aloisio, his children Jackie and her husband Christian Ripard and Malcolm, his dear grandchildren Hannah and her husband David Martirano and Rachel, his darling great-grandchild Shaye, brothers and sisters, relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be said today at 8.30am at Mater Boni Consigli church, Paceville, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery (entrance from the top gate). Special thanks to the staff at Ward S4, Mater Dei Hospital, for their care, dedication, support and skill. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
VALENTE. On February 8, VAL, passed away suddenly at the age of 74. He leaves to mourn his irreplaceable loss his beloved wife Connie, his children Renato and Valerie and her husband Tony, his treasured grandchildren Jean Marc and Elisa, in-laws, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
