BEZZINA. On February 1, ANTHEA, née Grech, widow of Emanuel, passed away suddenly at the age of 49 comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Alastair, Pia and Raphael, her father Mario, widower of Helen, her brother Simon and his wife Anna Lisa, her sisters Eugenia and her husband Mario Baldacchino, and Juanita and her husband Matthew Montebello, her in-laws Nazzareno and Kalcidonia, her brother-in-law Charles and his wife Cecilia, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 2.30pm for Mosta parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3pm followed by interment at St Bartholomew cemetery, Għargħur. No flowers by request but donations to charitable institutes will be appreciated.

BORDA – A.J. (JOHN), ex-Royal Navy, founder member of the HMS Glorious-Ardent-Acasta (GLARAC) Association, son of Petty Officer Steward Alfred Borda, E/LX 20695, lost in action June 8, 1940, on board HMS Glorious. John passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 1, 2013. We will remember him. The GLARAC Association.

On February 1, at St James Capua Hospital, COTTINA (COSTANTINA), née Briffa, aged 91, widow of Edwin H.W., passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church and surrounded by her loving family. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughter Angela and her husband Stephen Tabone, her son Adrian and his wife Marika née Wirth, her dearest grandsons Andrew and Michael, her sister-in-law Vivian Borg, her husband’s nephew and nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends as well as her carer Gina. The funeral leaves St James Capua hospital, Sliema, tomorrow for St Julian’s parish church, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9.15am followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. Donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord grant her eternal rest.

GATT. On February 1, at her residence in Sliema, LILIAN née Attard Bondi, widow of Sydney, a dear mother and grandmother, aged 88, one day short of her birthday, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children John and his wife Anne, Michael and his wife Elaine, Malcolm and his wife Ann and Simon and his wife Francesca, her grandchildren, sisters, brother and sister in-law, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St James Hospital tomorrow at 2.15pm for Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. Donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord grant her eternal rest.

NAUDI. On February 2, Anthony (Totty) of Valletta, passed peacefully away at Villa Messina, Rabat, one month prior to his 99th birthday. He is deeply mourned by his beloved wife Lina née Carachi, his daughters Lucienne, wife of Joseph F. X. Zahra and their children David and Maria, Marguerite and her children James, Matthew, Leah, and Nicola Cassar, his brothers Joseph, widower of Mary, Gaetano and his wife Florrie, and his sister Erminia, Emanuel, widower of his sister Imelda, Mary, widow of his brother Oscar, and Rita, widow of his brother Frankie, his sister-in-law Amy and his numerous nephews and nieces. The funeral cortège leaves Villa Messina tomorrow for the Basilica of Mount Carmel, Valletta, where Mass praesente cadaevere will be celebrated at 8am. Donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. The family would like to thank the dedicated staff of Villa Messina for their care and dedication.
