Obituaries
CASSAR. On January 26, at Sir Paul Boffa Hospital, MARY of Luqa, aged 85, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her brothers and sister Nazzareno, who lived with her, John and his wife Polly, Toni and his wife Lilian, and Katie and her husband William, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8am for St Andrew parish church, Luqa, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at Luqa parish cemetery. Donations to Dar Nazaret, Żejtun, will be appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors.
FARRUGIA. On January 18, HAROLD of Cairns, Australia, residing in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, aged 72, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Ave Maria Bartolo, his sister Jane, his children Vanessa, Michelle and Danielle, his grandchildren Christopher and Jennifer, his niece Miriam and nephew Charles, other relatives and friends. The funeral service was held at Sts Peter and Paul church followed by interment at Glen Oaks Memorial Gardens. At the family’s request, no flowers but donations to Heart House Hospice (www.hearthousehospice.com) in Harold’s name will be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
