GAUCI. On January 6, at Mater Dei Hospital, CARMEL, aged 64, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Carmen, née Pace, his loving children Steven, Martin and his wife Miriam, Sandy and her husband Joseph Cassar and Diane and her husband Miguel Scerri, his grandchildren Maria and Jacob, his sisters Maria Dimech and Carmen Borg, his brothers John, Emanuel, Mario, Joseph, Sam and Freddy, in-laws, nephews and nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 9am for Tal-Erwieħ Cemetery chapel, Tarxien, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 9.30am, followed by interment at Tal-Erwieħ Cemetery. MAGRO. On January 6, at Mater Dei Hospital, ANNIE, née Civelli, widow of Nicholas, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her irreparable loss her children Josette, Hermann and his wife Monica, Nathalie and her husband Ray Galea, her grandchildren Anthony Nicholas and his wife Louise, M.Roberta and her fiancé Christopher Mallia, her sister Imelda and her brother Lawrence, their families, in-laws, relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital today for the collegiate parish church of St Lawrence, Vittoriosa, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 2.30pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Special thanks go to the medical and nursing staff at Mater Dei Hospital and also to the nurses and carers at Casa Antonia, Balzan. Lord Jesus, hold her in Your loving, tender care.
MIZZI. On January 7, at her residence, GIOVANNA, née Pirata, of Valletta, residing in Guardamangia, aged 76, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved husband Alfred, her children Francis and his wife Jane, Marlene, Sister Luciana of the Ursuline Sisters, Guardamangia, her grandchildren Alison and Marilyn, their spouses Omar and Carlo, her great-grandchildren Ian Rhys, Anya May, her brother Louis, her sisters Lina and Rita and their spouses, all residing in Australia, her in-laws Doris, Mary, Margaret, Nina, Sunny, Johnny and Margaret, widow of her brother-in-law Paul, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves her residence tomorrow at 7.30am for St Paul Shipwrecked parish church, Valletta, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
