ALLISON. On December 17, in London, FRANCIS aged 81, formerly of Cospicua, widower of Saverina Barbara, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss, his children Freda and Kevin, Sonia and Colin, Barbara and Steve, Fiona and Paul, his brothers Harry of Australia, John and Sammy of UK, his sister Doris of UK, his sister-in-law Joan Barbara, his many nephews and nieces, friends in Malta and UK. A celebratory Mass will be held at Żabbar Cemetery, in the near future, where his ashes will be buried beside his wife, love of his life Saverina. God, grant him eternal rest.

On December 21, RONNIE, aged 70, of Santa Venera but residing at Attard, former technical director and coach of the national football team and former headmaster of Liceo Vassalli Junior Lyceum, Tal-Ħandaq, passed away peacefully at home comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Marlene, his daughter Lara and her husband Andrew Cauchi, his granddaughter Emma, his brothers and sisters Joe, Mary, Lina, John, Michael and Alex and their respective spouses, many other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.30pm for St Mary parish church, Attard, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. AXISA. On December 20, at Mater Dei Hospital, Fr IGNATIUS (Paul) AXISA, O.Carm, aged 88, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss the Carmelite Brethren of the Maltese Province, especially the Valletta community, his relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 7.30am for the Oratory of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Valletta, where he will be lying in state. MICALLEF. On December 20, at Mater Dei Hos­pital, DOMINIC, aged 62 of Birkirkara, passed away peacefully

He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Lina, his children Jonathan, Antoinette and her husband Gilbert and Charmaine, his niece Maya, his brothers and sisters, his in-laws, relatives and friends. He leaves to mourn his irreparable loss his most beloved wife Helga née Cauchi, his precious daughter Kristina, his father and mother Alfred and Rose Mifsud, his father and mother in-law John and Mary Cauchi, his sister Agatha and her husband Herman Galea, his nephew Kyle and niece Martina, uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends. End-of-year choral concert

EnKor will perform at a choral concert that Din l-Art Ħelwa will hold on December 28 at 7pm at Our Lady of Victory church, Valletta. Under the direction of Johanna Van Lent Singles, the choir will perform new special arrangements of traditional carols, its successful swinging gospels and a number of Renaissance hymns and lullabies. Seats can be booked against a donation of €10. Christmas in Mellieħa

Arriva will provide a free park-and-ride service for those attending the Milied Mellieħi, which ends on Monday. A shuttle service between the Mellieħa bus interchange and George Borġ Olivier Street runs between 7pm and 11.30pm every 30 minutes.
