ALLISON. On December 17, in London, FRANCIS aged 81, formerly of Cospicua, widower of Saverina Barbara, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. On December 21, RONNIE, aged 70, of Santa Venera but residing at Attard, former technical director and coach of the national football team and former headmaster of Liceo Vassalli Junior Lyceum, Tal-Ħandaq, passed away peacefully at home comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Marlene, his daughter Lara and her husband Andrew Cauchi, his granddaughter Emma, his brothers and sisters Joe, Mary, Lina, John, Michael and Alex and their respective spouses, many other relatives and friends. AXISA. On December 20, at Mater Dei Hospital, Fr IGNATIUS (Paul) AXISA, O.Carm, aged 88, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. End-of-year choral concert
EnKor will perform at a choral concert that Din l-Art Ħelwa will hold on December 28 at 7pm at Our Lady of Victory church, Valletta. Under the direction of Johanna Van Lent Singles, the choir will perform new special arrangements of traditional carols, its successful swinging gospels and a number of Renaissance hymns and lullabies. Christmas in Mellieħa
Arriva will provide a free park-and-ride service for those attending the Milied Mellieħi, which ends on Monday. A shuttle service between the Mellieħa bus interchange and George Borġ Olivier Street runs between 7pm and 11.30pm every 30 minutes.
