GAUCI. On December 18, GODWIN of Paola, aged 53, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. Loved and remembered by his mother Josephine, his brothers and sisters, Lino and his wife Lily, Twanny and his wife Patricia, Mary and her husband John, Lilian and her husband Mario and Paul and his wife Mary, his brother-in-law Tony, widower of Josephine, nephews and nieces, their respective spouses and children, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.30pm for St Anthony church, Għajn Dwieli, Paola, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment in the family grave at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
TANTI. On December 18, at Villa M.SSma Annunziata, Balzan, Sr ANSELMA TANTI (Rosina), of the Sisters of Charity, aged 94, passed away peacefully to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity, her brothers Gaetano and Grezzju, France and his wife Lucy, Pawlu in Australia and his wife Mary, Clara and her husband Tony and Carmela in Australia, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated today at 2pm at the chapel of the convent of the Sisters of Charity, 55 Birbal Street, Balzan, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

Christmas carols
The Kampanja Milied Ħieni, made up of staff from the Bio-medical Engineering Section at Mater Dei Hospital and their friends, will be visiting children’s wards and sing Christmas carols on Thursday between 9am and noon. Bazaar
The Community of Dominican Sisters of Naxxar is organising a Bazaar in aid of the restoration of the chapel next to their convent in Main Street, Naxxar. The bazaar will be open fromJanuary 27 and February 3 between 8.30am and 12.30pm, and 4 to 6pm.
Choral concert
The Marsascala council is holding a choral concert at the parish church on Friday at 7.15pm. The concert will be held under the patronage of President George Abela. Entrance is free but donations in aid of L-Istrina will be appreciated.
