The marriage took place on October 21, at Our Saviour parish church, Lija, between BERNARD, son of Mr and Mrs Arthur Vella of Birkirkara, and STEPHANIE, daughter of the late Eric Zammit and Mrs Pierina Zammit of Lija. Nuptial Mass was celebrated by Mgr Alfred Xuereb assisted by Fr George Schembri, Canon Mario Said and Fr John Muscat. The bride was given away by her uncle, Prof. Victor Zammit. The ceremony was witnessed by Dr Renzo Porsella-Flores for the bride and Mrs Martha Camilleri for the groom. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr Ray Geismann. The bride was attended by her sister, Ms Martine Zammit and by her cousin, Dr Ingrid Camilleri. Emma Camilleri and David Camilleri were flower-girl and pageboy respectively. Ing. Daniel Camilleri was master of ceremonies and the duties of ushers were carried out by Mr Bernard Zammit and Mr Franco Tartaglia. A reception was later held at The Xara Lodge, limits of Rabat.

She leaves to mourn her loss her three daughters, Frances, Louisa and her husband David Berry, and Caroline and her husband Philip Cameron, her seven grandchildren, Juliet, David, Duncan and Virginia Berry and Cary, Matthew and Mark Cameron. She also leaves to mourn her loss her only surviving brother Maurice Caruana of Cambridge, her cousin Rose Fenech and her La Rosa cousins and other relatives and friends in Malta.
