FARRUGIA. On November 12, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOSEPH (ex-RMA), of Birżebbuġa, aged 94, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Jane, widow of Alfred Lia, Francis and his wife Lina, Tony and his wife Mary, Carmen Hunt, Kate Schembri, Josephine, widow of Patrick Camilleri, Teddy and his wife Mary, George and his wife Monica, Rita and her husband Joseph Busuttil, Pauline and her husband Gerald Pace, Emanuel Mugliett, widower of his daughter Mary, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his brother Anthony, in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8am for St Peter parish church, Birżebbuġa, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

MERCIECA. On November 12, at Mater Dei Hospital, GIOVANNA,  of Qormi, aged 83, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Margaret and her husband Charles Micallef, George and his wife Isabelle, Josephine and her husband Francis Abela, Anthony and his wife Carmen, Michael and his wife Marlene, Louise and her husband Anthony Cini, Isabella and her husband George Zahra her grandchildren, great-grandchildren,  her brothers and sisters, in-laws, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.15pm for St George parish church, Qormi, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2.00pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

TONNA. On November 11, at Sir Paul Boffa Hospital, JOHN of Tal-Ibraġ, aged 67, passed away peacefully after a short illness, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Tessie, née Camilleri, his beloved brothers and sisters, in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8.30am for the Immaculate Conception parish church, Tal-Ibraġ, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 9am, followed by interment at Mosta cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan, will be greatly appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. Heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Sir Paul Boffa Hospital for their care and dedication. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

XUEREB. On November 11, RENO, aged 95, passed away peacefully at his residence in Ħamrun, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Victor, Rita, Tony, Charles, Grace, Josette and Lourdes, their husbands and wives, Antoinette and Matilda widows of sons Alfred and Emanuel and all their families, his many nephews, relatives and friends. The funeral will take place today at 9am at St Cajetan parish church, Ħamrun, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.

Power cuts

There will be power cuts in the following localities tomorrow:

Between 8am and 3pm in Sir Arthur Borton, Filippo Apap Bologna, Il-Ballut, Il-Kbira, Dun Wistin Azzopardi, Santa Margerita and Il-Palazz ta’ Kaspru streets in Mosta.

Between 8.30 and 11.30am in Daħla taċ-Ċnus, Ta’ Dun Luqa and Ta’ Ċenċ streets in Sannat.

Works at Ċirkewwa

Transport Malta has urged caution as traffic entering and exiting the Ċirkewwa ferry terminal area will be directed towards the carriageway used to enter the area due to asphalting works going on along the exit road. Transport Malta said works are expected to be completed tomorrow.
