BROOKS. On October 22, at Mater Dei Hospital, PAULINE, née Sultana, aged 86, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her son Leslie and his wife Philippa, her grand-children Edward and David, her nephew and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 8am for Gżira parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
CARUANA. On October 21, GEORGE, aged 91, on his birthday, passed away peacefully at Mater Dei Hospital comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Gladys, née Pisani, his son Ray, widower of Miriam, his grandchildren Michela and Jean, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2pm for St Publius parish church, Floriana, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2.30pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

She leaves to mourn her loss her sisters Connie widow of Lino Galea, Violet and her husband Angelo Bezzina Wettinger, Phyllis widow of George Spiteri, her brother Charles widower of Margaret, and Mary widow of her brother John, nephews and nieces and their families, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 1.30pm for the Sacro Cuor parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Zumba for charity
Zumba4DTP is holding an event on Friday in aid of the annual Dar tal-Providenza campaign organised by RTK Radio on New Year’s Day. Held in collaboration with the health promotion unit, the event will kick off at 6.30pm with a Zumbatomic class for children between four and 12 years of age. At 7.15pm a Zumba session will held for everyone. Children will be given free gym membership courtesy of Spinach Fitness Club, Pembroke on registration. Registration is at 5.45pm and the event will be held at the Maria Regina Secondary School Hall, Blata l-Bajda. Entrance from Milend Gate Hall, next to Milend Gate. Further information on 7902 0253.
HM Bateman presentation
Heritage Malta is organising an exhibition called HM Bateman: The Man Who... Loved Gozo and a presentation on the artist by Anthony Anderson, author of the book The Man Who Was H.M. Bateman. The event will be held today at 6pm at the Grand Salon, National Museum of Archaeology in Valletta.
