BAJJADA. On September 16, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARY, aged 87, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her sisters Tessie and Rose Hili, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortege leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8.30am for Tal-Ibragg parish church, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9am followed by interment in the family vault at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
BEZZINA. On September 13, at the Gozo Hospital, Rev. Mgr. GEORGE Capp. S.S., Parish Priest Emeritus of Fontana; of Victoria Gozo, aged 58, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved siblings Carmen, MaryRose and her husband Paul Camilleri Cauchi, Euchar and his wife Amber, Tony Zammit widower of his sister Giacinta, Josephine widow of his brother Joseph, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortege leaves St James church at Independence Square Victoria tomorrow at 4.30pm for St George’s Basilica where Mass præsente cadavere presided by Bishop Mario Grech will be said at 5pm.
BUHAGIAR. On September 14, at St Vincent de Paul Residence, JOSEPH, aged 88, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Mary and his son Jesmond, his brother Arthur residing in Canada, cousins, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St Vincent de Paul today at 2pm for the Immaculate Conception parish church, Ħamrun, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2.30pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

The date of the gala BBQ organised by the Flimkien Għal Ambjent Aħjar has been postponed to September 21 from 20 because the Independence Day mass meeting in Floriana will be held on the eve of the public holiday.
