GALEA. On September 2, at Mater Dei Hospital, GIOVANNA, née Cutajar, of Paola, aged 87, passed away peacefully to join her husband Carmelo in heaven. She leaves to mourn her great loss her dear children Marthese and her husband Joe Cardona, Renald and his wife Maria, and Joseph and his wife Marcelle, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 9.15am. for Christ the King parish church, Paola, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9.45am. followed by interment in the family vault at Żejtun cemetery. The family would like to give special thanks to the dedicated staff who lovingly cared for her at Villa Messina, Rabat, and at Mater Dei Hospital Neuro-Surgical Unit. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

Siren testing
Enemalta will today carry out its annual emergency siren testing at the Delimara Power Station, Ras Ħanżir (Marsa), Ħas-Saptan (vicinity of the airport) at 9am, and at March 31 Fuel Istallation in Birżebbuġa at 9.05am.
These tests ensure the functionality of the sirens and help residents familiarise themselves with the siren sounds.
