The marriage between Lt R H De R Channer, RHF, and Miss Esme Elizabeth Flannery took place on September 1, 1962 at St Patrick’s church, Sliema. Ronnie and Esme would like to thank all those who subscribed most handsomely to the collection in aid of Id-Dar tal-Providenza held at our thanksgiving Mass. The total donated was just over €1,200.
Obituary
ANGELONE. On August 30, CELINE née Scifo-Diamantino, residing at tal-Ibraġ, Swieqi, passed away peacefully at Mater Dei Hospital, aged 64, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Umberto, her children Roberto and Daniele, her granddaughter Hannah, her brother Maurice, her sister-in-law Marhes, her nephews and nieces, her faithful helper Michelle, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2 p.m. for Mary Immaculate Mother church, Swieqi, where a Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m. followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No Flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi would be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

Applications for University of the Third Age
The University of the Third Age (U3E) will be accepting applications from September 10 for anyone interested in attending the 2012-2013 programme.
U3E forms part of the European Centre for Gerontology of the University of Malta.
Lectures will be held from Monday to Thursday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Floriana centre and on Tuesday and Thursday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Sliema centre. The programme will start on October 2.
Application forms can be collected from and handed in at the U3E office at the Catholic Institute in Floriana from Monday to Thursday from 9 a.m. till 11.a.m.
A copy of the programme will be available on registration and is also displayed on the notice board. Enquiries may be made on 2124 3202.
