DEBONO. On June 27, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARY of Iklin, aged 77, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Jane and her husband Emanuel Ciantar, Rita and her husband Mosè Calvanico and Lucy and her husband Kevin Muscat, her grandchildren Daniel, Jonathan, Stephanie, Lamù, Luciano, Shaun, Sarah, Centienne and Jeremy, her sister Ġuża Yavarone, in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2 p.m. for St Helen’s Basilica, Birkirkara, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
GRIMA. On June 29, JOSEPH, aged 81, from Mellieha residing at St Paul’s Bay, passed away peacefully at Mater Dei Hospital, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his sad loss his daughters Frida and her husband Sam Caruana as well as Professor Grace Grima, director general – Directorate for Quality and Standards in Education, his grandchildren Rebecca and Francesca, his brother, sisters, in-laws, their families, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2.15 p.m. for Marija Bambina parish church, Mellieħa where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3 p.m. followed by interment in the family’s grave at Divine Mercy Cemetery, St Paul’s Bay. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, would be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
