AGIUS. On May 14, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOSEPH, aged 79, passed away peacefully. He leaves to mourn his loss his sister Josephine, wife of Vincent Borg, his brother’s widow, Mary, his nephew Mario and nieces Yvonne, Marlene, Josephine and their respective families, his cousins, in-laws, relatives and friends. BONDÌ. On May 15, JOE, aged 86, peacefully away passed comforted by the rites of Holy Church. His great loss is mourned by his wife Maria, his son Lou and Rachel, Jacqueline, Joanna and Johnny, his grandchildren Simon, Warren and Kelly, Vanessa, Sandra, Luke and Hannah, his great-grandchildren Justin and Alessandra, his sister Yolanda, nephews, nieces and friends. The funeral will be held tomorrow, leaving Gozo General Hospital at 4.30 p.m. followed by a cortege from Sabina Square to St Mary’s Cathedral where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 5 p.m. followed by a private interment in the family grave at St Mary’s cemetery. BONNICI. On May 14, at St Vincent de Paul Residence, BENEDICT, aged 88, from Żejtun and residing at Żabbar, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Mario and his wife Marisa, Alan and his wife Connie and their daughter Ann Marie, his cousins, his nephews and niece, other relatives and friends. BUGEJA. Tragically, on May 13, MARIO of Xewkija, aged 38, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Sylvana, his daughter Nicole, his son Waylen, his parents Francesca and Pinu, his sister Joyce and her husband Ġanni, his brother Ġanni and his wife Frances, his wife’s parents Karmnu and Ġolina, his brothers-in-law Benny and Mario and their fiancées Melanie and Maria, other relatives and friends. First aid for babies

The Emergency Response and Rescue Corps will be offering free first aid sessions to parents-to-be in a project supported by the Council of Voluntary Organisations. The aim of these sessions is to teach basic first aid practices for parents to help their newly born babies. The sessions will cover aid techniques for choking, burn injuries and cardiopulmonary resuscitation on babies.
