CALÌ. On April 3, in the early morning, HERMAN DAVID, aged 61, passed away peacefully at Mater Dei Hospital. He leaves behind his beloved family and friends: his children Maxine, Rafael and Elena; his siblings Tanya and her husband Ueli, Cristina, Alex and Michael; his cousins, nephews, nieces and all his many cherished friends. The funeral cortége leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1 p.m. and will proceed towards Balluta Bay church, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2 p.m. The family would like to extend their sincere, heartfelt thanks to the staff at Mater Dei’s Emergency and Cardiac ITU wards. COLEIRO. On April 7 at Karin Grech Hospital, EDWARD, of Sta Venera and residing in Ħamrun, aged 73 years, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Ċettina, his children Silvio Coleiro and his wife Sandra, Mario Coleiro, Charmaine and her husband Mario Darmanin, grandchildren Laura and fiancé Clive, Amy and Kristina, his brother, his sisters and his in-law, their respective spouses, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Karin Grech Hospital today at 1.30 p.m. for St Gaetan parish church in Ħamrun where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2 p.m. followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza in Siġġiewi will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

MUSCAT. On April 8, at Sir Paul Boffa Hospital, MARIO of Balzan, residing at Birkirkara, aged 73, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. Sorely missed by his children Brian and his wife Sharon, Maria and her partner Gordian and Lara, his grandchildren Neil, Aaliyan and Alicia, his brother Freddie, widower of Rożina, and his sisters Giorgina and Lucy and her husband Joe Scannura, Bice, widow of Nenu Nappa, and Rose, widow of John Azzopardi, their respective families, in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 3 p.m. for the Annunciation parish church, Balzan, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3.30 p.m. followed by interment at Balzan cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Thanking the Lord for His presence in our lives, may He grant him joy in His presence.

PACE. On April 4, at Mater Dei Hospital, WINIFRED (Winnie), aged 89, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family and comforted by the rights of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her irreparable loss her brothers Mgr Anthony and Joseph, her sisters Sr Mary FMM and Sr Aurelia SDD, also her sister-in-law Josephine, her nieces and nephews Antoinette, Anna, Joe, Paula, Mariella, Louis, David, Paul, Edward, Maryanne and David, their families, other relatives and friends, especially the members of the Focolare Movement. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.30 p.m. for Santa Marija church, Birkirkara, where Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 2 p.m. followed by inter­ment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery (entrance is from the top gate). Donations to Holy Family Home, Naxxar, will be greatly appreciated. The family would like to thank the surgeons and the teams at ITU and S3. May the Lord grant her eternal rest.

Friends of Ta’ Braxia AGM

The Friends of Ta Braxia, the volunteer group affiliated with Din l-Art Ħelwa that look after the Ta’ Braxia cemetery, will hold its annual general meeting on April 21 at 11 a.m. at the Memorial Chapel at Ta Braxia. All members are invited to attend.
