CUCCIARDI. On March 3, at the Ursuline Sisters’ Convent, Sliema, Sr IMELDA, aged 91, went to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss the Ursuline Sisters, her sisters Felicity, Therese, widow of Joseph Grech, Lina and her husband John Azzopardi, Sister Luigia OCD, her brother Antoine and his wife Mary, nephews, nieces and spouses, other relatives and friends. DEPASQUALE. On March 4, at Mater Dei Hospital, Dr VINCENZO AGOSTINO, aged 91, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his devoted wife Laura, his beloved children Cecilia, Theresa and her husband Giovanni Rizza, James, his grandchildren Fran-cesca, Maria, Laura and Louisa, his sister-in-law Mafine, widow of Leslie Grech, nephews, nieces, relatives and his many friends, among whom Charles Farrugia. FARRUGIA. On March 4, at his residence, OWEN, of Gzira, residing in Marsaxlokk, aged 38, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. LA FERLA. On March 4, at Mater Dei Hospital, STEPHEN (Effie), aged 89, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his irreparable loss his sons Anthony and his wife Moira, Roger and his wife Corinne, his grandchildren Karl, Giselle, June, Mylene and Karine, relatives and friends. On February 28, in Cannes, France, Sister VIOLET (Sr Paulinus), aged 83 years, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church after 58 years of religious missionary life in Uganda, the UK and France. She leaves to mourn her loss her sisters in the order of the Missionary Sisters of Our Lady of Africa (Cardinal Lavigerie’s White Sisters), her brother Frank, her brother-in-law Louis Ellul, her sister-in-law Joyce, her nephews and niece Mario, Joseph, Paul, Bernadette Grama and Estevan Ellul and their families, other relatives and friends. The funeral took place on March 2, 2012 in Mougins, France, followed by interment in Marseille, France. A Mass for the repose of her soul will be said in the Jesuit Community Chapel, Loyola House, 38 Marquis Scicluna Street, Naxxar on Wednesday at 6 p.m. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
VASSALLO. On March 3, CONNIE, née Camilleri, passed away peacefully at the age of 87, surrounded by her family and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Rosa and her husband Eric Galea, Adrienne and her husband George Xuereb and Mark and his wife Nadine née Attard, her grandchildren Matthew and his fiancé Martina Camilleri, Francesca, Benjie and Timmy, her sisters-in-law Maria Camilleri and Lina Galea, her nephew Fr Noel Vella, her other nephews and nieces in Australia, England and Italy, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Karin Grech Rehabilitation Hospital today at 1.30 p.m. for Sacro Cuor parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2 p.m. followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.
