CARDONA. On February 3, at St James Hospital, Sliema, PAULINE, née Castaldi, of Lija, aged 88, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her sad loss her beloved husband Joseph, her children Carol and his wife Margaret, Jeanne D’Arc and her husband Prof. Wolfgang Einholz, and Anton, her grandchildren Matthew, Cristina, Alexander and Anna, her sister Reré Brown and brother Joe Castaldi, residing in Canada, her cousins, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St James Hospital, Sliema, at 8 a.m. today for Lija parish church, where Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 8.30 a.m. followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Missions of the Society of Christian Doctrine will be appreciated. Special thanks to the medical and nursing staff at St James, Sliema, and all the staff at Casa Antonia, Balzan for their loving care and attention. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
CASSAR. On February 4, at Mater Dei Hospital, FELIX, known as Gino, of Fgura, aged 71, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Doreen, née Fenech, his children Joannah Bugeja and Melanie and her husband Marcello Grech, his grandchildren Kenneth, David and Steven, his brother Oliver and his wife Frances of Australia, his mother in-law Ines Fenech, his in-laws Joe and his wife Frances, Michael and his wife Marthese and Maria and her husband John Iles, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2 p.m. for St Anthony church, Għajn Dwieli, Paola, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m. followed by interment at Tarxien Cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
DEGUARA. On February 5, at St Vincent de Paul Residence, JOHN, of Paola, aged 77, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his sad loss his treasured children Charles and his wife Josette, and Joseph and his wife Maria. Nannu John will be missed by his dearest grandchildren David, Susanna and Martha, in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St Vincent de Paul Residence tomorrow at 8 a.m. for Christ the King parish church, Paola where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m. followed by interment in the family grave at Tarxien Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
