CAMILLERI. On January 13, EDGAR, aged 90, of Mosta, residing in Balzan, passed away peacefully at Mater Dei Hospital, comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. MUSCAT. On January 15, at St Vincent De Paul Residence, GEORGE, of Lija, aged 77, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Lorenza, his children Terry and his fiancée Claire and Mariella and her husband Youssef, his beloved grandson Othman, his mother-in-law Maria Borg, his in-law Frances, nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. PORTELLI – LUCIA née Demajo, widow of the late Joseph, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 15, at Mater Dei Hospital, comforted by the rites of Holy Mother Church after a debilitating illness bravely borne with great determination and resilience of spirit. She leaves to morn her great loss her dear son Dr Joe Portelli Demajo and his wife Jo Anna, her beloved daughters Josette and her husband Georges Magri and Rosalie and her husband Dr Stefan Frendo, her loving grandchildren Max and his wife Ilona, Suzanne, Julienne, Chiara, Francesco and Charmaine and Ryan, her very dear carer Analiz, her brother Thomas and his wife Tessie, nephews and nieces, her dear cousin Antoinette Mifsud Bonnici, numerous relatives, friends and neighbours. The funeral Mass praesente cadavere will be held at St Gregory’s parish church, Sliema, tomorrow, at 9 a.m. followed by interment in the family grave at the Mater Addolorata cemetery. “In the end is my beginning”. May she rest in the arms of the Lord. The family would like to thank all the doctors and nursing staff at Mater Dei for their dedication and professionalism as well as Analiz Tubojan who nursed her so lovingly during these last three years.
