BONELLO. On November 29, at Capua Hospital, ANGELE, of Sliema, aged 61, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her sons Marcus and his wife Christine, Miguel and his wife Annabelle, her beloved grandchildren Jasmine, Leah, Louis, Emma and Andrew, her longtime friend Victor, her aunts Joan Camilleri, Iris and her husband Eddie Bonnici, her many other relatives and friends including Maryanne Bonello. She will live forever in our hearts. Special thanks to the specialist and medical team and the staff at Capua Hospital. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

DEPASQUALE. On November 29, at his residence in Qormi. Mgr ANNETTO DEPASQUALE, Titular Bishop of Aradi and Auxiliary Bishop, went to meet his Lord and Master. He leaves to mourn his great loss his brothers and sisters Paul and Gemma, Maria and her husband Frank Stagno Navarra, Joseph and his wife Nelly, Anton and his wife Carmen, George and his wife Doreen, Giovanni and his wife Doris, and Carmel and his wife Gemma, his nephews and nieces Natalie, Pierre, Ivan, Lennart, Edgar, Isabel, Maria, Karl, Sandra, Herman, Erika, Ruben, Helga, Blanche and Claude and their families, other relatives and friends. He will be lying in state at St George parish church, Qormi, today from 9 a.m. till 10 p.m. A prayer vigil will be held at 6 p.m. The funeral cortege will leave Qormi parish church for St John’s Co-Cathedral, Valletta, tomorrow at 8.15 a.m. where he will lie in state till1 p.m. Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 2 p.m. followed by private interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.

FARRUGIA. On November 29, at Mater Dei Hospital, SAVIOUR of Rabat (ex-Headmaster, Mosta Primary School), at the venerable age of 93, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his sons Albert and his wife Jacqueline, Alex and his wife Mary, and Dr Mario and his wife Dr Victoria, his grandchildren Mark and his girlfriend Marylyn, Nigel, Hannah and Erika, his sisters Jane and her husband Charles Galea and Lola, widow of Denis Collingwood, residing in the UK, Margaret, widow of his brother Victor and Elizabeth, widow of his brother Francis, also residing in the UK, in-laws, their respective spouses, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.30 p.m. for St Augustine church, Rabat, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2 p.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan, will be greatly appreciated. The family wish to thank the staff at Villa Messina, Rabat, MITU and M1 Wards, Mater Dei Hospital, for their care and support. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

GERMAN. In ever loving memory of Dr LINO, a devoted husband, father and grandfather, on the sixth anniversary of his passing away to a better life on St Andrew’s feast day. His wife Maureen, daughter Ingrid and family in Australia, son Karl and family in Malta, and daughter Nadya. A prayer is solicited.

Weekend fair

A Christmas fair will be held at the Msida Bastion Historic Garden on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The family event is being held to raise funds for the maintenance of this garden that overlooks Marsamxetto Creek. It is best reached by taking the first turning left on Great Siege Road and then the first fork left again after the Excelsior Hotel.
