BUSUTTIL. On July 29, at Mater Dei Hospital, FRANK, aged 76, of Għaxaq, residing in Marsascala, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Antonia (Lina), his children Joseph and his wife Therese, Adrian and his wife Karen and Louise and her husband Filippo, his grandchildren Maxine, Zachary, Nicole, Diandra, Dalila, Tamara and Mattia, his brothers and sisters, in-laws and their respective families, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. CAMILLERI. On July 31, JOSEPH, widower of Lilian, aged 80, of Birkirkara, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his son Ronald and his wife Nathalie, his daughter Marisa and her husband George Cilia, his grandchildren Rachel, Lara and Eric, his brothers and sisters Lina Mizzi, Anton, Johnny and Paul and their wives, his wife’s brother Paul Schembri and his wife Jessie, many nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.30 p.m. for St Francis church in Birkirkara, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2 p.m., followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. CLARKE. On July 28, LOUISE, nurse at Sir Paul Boffa Hospital, of Żejtun, residing in Marsa­scala, aged 60, passed away peacefully at Sir Paul Boffa Hospital, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Graham, her mother Carmen, her brother Joseph and his wife Carmen and her sister Cecilia and her husband Vincent, her in-laws from the UK and their respective families, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Thursday at 3 p.m. for St Anne parish church, Marsascala, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3.30 p.m. followed by interment at Żejtun cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar Nazareth, Żejtun, will be greatly appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. Lord grant her eternal rest.

SCICLUNA. On July 29, Francesca, of Victoria, aged 92, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her nephew Mgr Joseph Bezzina, to whom she was second mother, nieces and nephews and their families, and the Dominican Sisters. The funeral leaves Savina Square, Victoria, today at 4.30 p.m. for the Gozo Cath­­edral for a concelebrated Mass praesente cadavere followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Marija Ce­me­tery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

Photo competition

APS Bank and the Malta Photographic Society are organising the second annual photography competition. The theme for this year’s event is Green.

All entries should include “a Maltese touch” and the winners will be selected mainly on the basis of creativity and composition.

The closing date for the competition is August 6 and entries will be reviewed by an independent panel of judges, coordinated by the Malta Photographic Society.
